A Cami Dress + A Top Knot
Today's post features an easy cami dress and a casual top knot; two things that are getting me out the door much faster these days! With a baby in tow, it's a miracle if I remember to put shoes on half the time and even more of miracle if my hair is done. Stretchy, simple dresses like this striped midi were clutch for me during pregnancy but it turns out they're also a postpartum mommy's saving grace.
Before mommyhood, I sometimes changed my outfit a few times before settling on an ensemble of different pieces that I thought popped! But getting dressed has to happen in under 10 minutes now -- so indecision is totally a thing of the past. As a result, my shopping and styling habits have changed as well and it's an ease of comfort that I'm really enjoying. Instead of over styling something trendy or over thinking accessories, now I try to go with how I feel and how easy it is to physically put on! In this dress alone I can go from having a Boppy around my waist at 10am, to stuffing breast pads in my bra at 12pm to one-handedly popping a stroller open at the park by 3pm. On a good day, I even make it to a blog photo shoot AND the grocery store! My multi-tasking skills are making the transformation into what I call "mommy-tasking" and my outfits are keeping up with the new demands! And as my body tries to bounce back, I'm trying to focus on regaining confidence in my personal style again so being able to rely on a well-fitting dress is just fan-freaking-tastic.
